Multi-point Drilling On Gauge Motors

The multi-point drilling on gauge stabilized motor consists of a set of reamer cutters incorporated in the bit box, that act as roller bearings, guiding the drill bit. The stabilizers on the bearing assembly and stator insure minimum amount of deviation while drilling.

These reamer cutters not only act as a bearing, minimize the amount of undergauged hole that would be drilled once the drill bit starts to wear.

The upset diameter of the screw on stabilizers increases the pressure differential at the bottom of the hole, which enhances the cleaning acion around the bottom hole assembly (B.H.A.). This enhanced cleaning action along with the minimum amount of undergauged hole greatly reduces the chances of becoming stuck in the hole.
